So now you have decided to invest in a wig but need to know what colors and texture to select. Some users select colors and textures similar to their own natural hair. However, the great thing about a wig is that you can try something bold and new. Virgin Remy Indian, Chinese, Malaysian & Brazilian hair color is called “natural” because it is not processed. Their hair color is between an off black and dark brown.
Remy hair can also be chemically dyed, bleached and permed. Chemically processed Remy hair is no longer considered to be virgin. Hair colors can affect how well your hair holds permanent curls. Darker hair colors hold better permanent curls.
If you want blonde hair, Everythingwigs.com recommends that you do not have your wig processed for a permanent curl. Use curling irons or rollers instead. If you must have a permanent curl, select a light body wave because it requires lighter processing. Blonde hair is drier than darker color hair and does not hold curls as well. Hair chemically processed for blonde color and a permanent curl will be over processed. It requires a lot of processing to lift hair color to blonde. Extra processing for a permanent curl is too much stress and will cause breakage. The deeper the curl, the more processing is required.
If you see photos of non-European blonde curly hair, most likely the curls are not permanent and has made with a curling iron or rollers. Once you wash your wig the curl is gone and you must re-curl the hair achieve the original look.
If you see a photo of a hair style and color from which you would like a lace wig made keep in mind the texture and appearance of the wig you actually receive may slightly differ depending upon changes you request which are different than the photo. For example, let’s say you see a photo of a hairstyle that is the color #1B (off black) with a deep curl. You like the style but would like the same curl pattern except with a color #4 with #27 highlights. Because the hair color is lighter, the curl texture may be slightly different.
